Pool Balls
In 8 Ball you play with 16 pool balls divided into two groups,SOLIDS and STRIPES,in addition to the CUE BALL and the 8 BALL.
Basic Play
The players take turns shooting. One player is attempting to make all of the SOLID Balls while the other is attempting to make all of the STRIPED Balls. Each players ball type (solid or striped) is determined by the first shot made of the game (that becomes their type) When you make a shot (with one of your own balls) you get to shoot again. The players take turns shooting. Once a player has made all of their balls (solid or striped) they need to SINK THE 8 BALL.
Pool Balls
In 9 Ball you play with 10 pool balls, including 1~9 and the Cue Ball.
In 9 Ball, on ALL shots the player MUST make the cue ball strike the lowest numerical ball on the table BEFORE it strikes any other balls. The player who pockets the 9 Ball is the winner. This does NOT mean that the balls need to be pocketed in order; any ball may be pocketed at any time during the game so long as the lowest numerical ball is contacted first. Players shoot in "Innings" which means that they get to continue shooting until they miss, commit a foul, or pocket the 9 Ball for a win.
Pool Balls
In Snooker you play with 22 unnumbered balls including the cue ball.
Basic Play
The object of Snooker is to score more points than your opponent by pocketing balls in a predefined order. At the beginning of the game the balls are positioned as shown, and the players take turns attempting to pocket a Red Ball, which is worth 1 point. When a red ball is pocketed it remains off of the table and the player gets to shoot again but this time they must aim at one of the "Colored Balls" which are worth higher point values: Yellow = 2, Green = 3, Brown = 4, Blue = 5, Pink = 6, Black = 7. If the player successfully pockets a Colored Ball it is returned to the table and they must then pocket another Red Ball. The process continues until the player misses a shot at which point it is the other player's turn. Once all of Red Balls are pocketed, and only the Colored Balls remain on the table, the players must pocket the Colored Balls IN THE ORDER of their point value. Now, when a Colored Ball is pocketed it remains off of the table. Whichever type of ball or balls that the player is required to pocket on a given shot is referred to as the "ON" Ball(s). The other balls are "NOT-ON".
